So, 2016, a memorable year – bringing wonderful, intuitive guests who came with heartfelt messages; a year of loss; a year of conflict; a year of change; a year of happiness; a year of sadness; a year of travel & new experiences; a year for weddings, and babies.

And now in my new role as a blog writer I should be telling you that I have changed the menu 4 times this year, adding new and interesting recipes and tastes to our daily changing menu. We have sold our vegetarian café Refresh in the town, and 2 of the staff have returned to Aquaria, so now we have a special daily changing lunch menu that I created with Nengel, our No.1 lunch chef.

For some the changes have been too many, and for others they have gone unnoticed, for me it is my passion,. to provide changing menus, taste sensations, exceptional quality, and presentation at affordable prices. To make a difference in people’s lives through food and environment.

We offered our guests a simple a la carte Christmas menu rather than my usual 5 course degustation creations, as it was a quiet Christmas. But New Year, went with a bang, as Glyn had surpassed his usual display of fireworks, with this year’s hour long display being equal to any commercial festive occasion.

The New Year banquet was considered exceptional by many guests. For us, Christmas is not about making money, but about giving. We give the way that we would like to receive. We treat guests the way that we would like to be treated.

And for 2017 – it is our 10th Anniversary – we opened in June 2007. This year, keep in touch, and watch out for special offers for June bookings, and throughout the year. Remember Nyepi Silent Day March 2017. ​
